I seem to remember that this song was written by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. This has not been mentioned, nor has the year that it was written been mentioned. In addition I dont think it explicitly notes that the song was written by the BBC Vk2tds 09:49, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Mystery Cartoon

Could find no reference to the cartoon at IMDB.com I and some friends definitely remember it though, possibly in relation to Disney. Circa 1980s. - 16:24, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

Banjo-Kazooie

Just curious if someone should edit the article and point out that the theme for Gruntildas Lair in Banjo-Kazooie is very similar to Teddy Bears Picnic. It's not the same song, but very similar. I think it's actually an intentional allusion to the song, as you hear various different variations of the Gruntilda's Lair theme as you pass from area to area within the lair (not within worlds), and they pretty much all sound like Teddy Bears' Picnic. And to be clear, it's not just similar - indeed, you can turn the first few bars of the theme into the first few bars of Teddy Bears' Picnic with just a couple of note changes. No bears in England

The article states that the song is based on a legend in a specific area in Staplegrove (in Somerset, England). What is the legend? Were bears native to that area? Bears became extinct in England about the late 1000s C.E.
