TV Theme

edit

Is the theme for Teen Titans Go! done by Puffy AmiYumi, as it was with the first Teen Titans Series or another group? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.16.8.23 (talk) 23:45, 24 May 2013 (UTC) I think it's a remix of that same song, but that's just my opinion, I'm not sure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.63.162.173 (talk) 16:44, 7 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Crush cruft

edit

In these edits [1][2] an IP editor from Ohio adds romance content that doesn't seem to materially improve our understanding of the character. The content was removed with an explanation on the user's talk page and it seems reminiscent of content added by TheAnonymousTroll here and here. Statements like "[Starfire] explicitly asks Robin to kiss her leaving it unclear what her true feelings towards him actually are" or "It is hinted in several episodes that he has romantic feelings towards fellow team mate Raven" come off as speculative and dependent on personal interpretation. The user's recourse is not to resubmit this content until they can submit references from independent secondary sources that support these assertions. It would also help if there was some context that made the content important to include instead of just being trivia. If these romantic feelings impact a character's decisions or are key aspects of a storyline, that is important to know and would make it less interpretive. Without context, it looks like speculation and trivia. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:42, 25 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Negative reviews by fans of the original series

edit

This series is an abomination on the earth and should be killed with fire and nuked from the orbit. ON the reception part there are only positive things said, where are the info that says that all fans of the original series hate the show??? There should be "Since it premiered the show gained a lot of negative feedback from fans of the original Teen Titans show because of the presentation of the main characters are "stupid" children and not Superheroes". Also, you dont need a source for that, go to any teen titans go clip and you will see that we hate this abomination. The Ouroboros, the Undying, the Immortal (talk) 12:23, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Analysis of fan reaction absolutely needs to come from reliable sources, not culled from random video comments or discussion forums. Encyclopedias are not interested in the opinions of no-name internet denizens with axes to grind, rather they are interested in the opinions of journalists, professional critics, media experts, etc. If you'd like to see a more neutral presentation of critical response, you are at liberty to add critiques from reliable sources. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:55, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
But that is the point. There are no sources because no one wants to address the elephant in the room. Comic book news sites call it a fun comedy show inspired by the original series but its not. Those writers are ruining the legacy of the show and the characters. It should at least be added that the show is infamous and universaly hated by fans of the original series (or any people out on the planet that read comics). The Ouroboros, the Undying, the Immortal (talk) 17:30, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Take it up with the reliable sources. We don't add original research to articles simply because you disagree with what the prevailing reliable sources say. If fan response is as noteworthy as you say, there would presumably be some coverage of it somewhere. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:00, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's true that fans of the original series have given it negative reviews, and it should be added to the article, but only after sources are found. However, even after sources are found, Poroboros should not be the one to write it because based on what he's written above, he is won't be able to write it with NPOV. JDDJS (talk) 21:07, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

As a general clarification of my second response above: I can accept as a truth that many fans of the original series say they hate the new one. What is necessary is for the dissatisfaction to have reached a point where it becomes noteworthy to people who work for reliable secondary sources, and that these people say, "Hey, this is worth knowing: fans of the original hate this new series!" 4 Missing Awards - BTVA

edit

The show won 4 BTVA. Can someone please add them ?

1st- Tara Strong with "BTVA Staff Voice actress of the year" in 2013. 2nd-Tara Strong during the same year with "People's choice voice actress of the year" 3rd-Tara Strong with "People's choice Best Female Lead Vocal Performance in a Television Series - Comedy/Musical. 4th- "People's Choice Best Vocal Ensemble in a New Television Series" (2013). --Wizard2222 (talk) 20:35, 12 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Looking these over- I believe that awards voted by the general public are not usually included on Wikipedia pages. But since there is also official voting, I do think they should be on the page. One dilemma I have is that the first two awards are for the person (Tara Strong), not the TV show, so they belong on her own page, not the TTG page. However, the ones in the television category, because they are specifically for TTG, should be added. Will work on this soon. Apathyash (talk) 02:04, 13 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Normally the awards won by the voice actors/actresses generally appear on the show's page. It's like when someone won an Oscar for best actor/actress, it's part of the movie.--EntrancingNightmare (talk) 20:35, 21 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@EntrancingNightmare: Yes, so I included the awards the voice actors won specifically for TTG. But some weren't specifically for the show, so I do not think it applies. Apathyash (talk) 00:19, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Apathyash: I totally agree that the first one isn't related with the show whatsoever but for instance "Best Ensemble" is. However, the name of the award must start as "People's choice" to distinguish the audience's award and the staff's one.
I included the nomination for best ensemble; however, it was my understanding that audience voted awards aren’t typically included on a page. So I left it as “nominated” as they didn’t win the official vote Apathyash (talk) 01:09, 25 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

– I propose to move this page to "Teen Titans Go!". The reason for this is when people think Teen Titans Go!, there's a very low chance they'll think of the comic. Rather the show. Thank you, Dannycreatire (talk) 15:38, 10 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
