Abortion
editI added a hyperlink to the abortion page to allow readers to know what abortion is and how it can be life changing and in some cases a very dangerous procedure. Also went into more depth of what teenage pregnancy is and how some people feel about teenage pregnancy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kajeanna93 (talk • contribs) 19:23, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Picture
editI added a picture showing a teenage girl holding a pregnanacy test to allow views to see images of teenage pregnancy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kajeanna93 (talk • contribs) 19:36, 18 October 2013 (UTC) I added another picture of teens who are pregnant since the picture I added was deleted. I feel there needds to be a picture that expresses teenage pregnancy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kajeanna93 (talk • contribs) 20:52, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Condoms and hormonal contraceptive
editI added two hyperlinks on condoms and hormonal contraceptive to allow the reader to view those other important topics that play into part of teenage pregnancy in the US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kajeanna93 (talk • contribs) 19:49, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
Adoption
editI added a new topic on adoption beacuse I feel the readers who may view this page need to know that adoption can be a choice of parenting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kajeanna93 (talk • contribs) 20:25, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
I also added a hyperlink on adoption so readers can view more info about the topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kajeanna93 (talk • contribs) 20:28, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Editing
editThe sentence "Sexually active teens in the US are less likely to use any contraceptive method Condoms and especially less likely to use highly effective hormonal methods, primarily the pill, than their peers in other countries" does not make sense. I suggest editing it to "Sexually active teens in the US are less likely to use any contraceptive method, including Condoms, and are especially less likely to use highly effective hormonal methods, primarily the pill, than their peers in other countries." Will copy edit. Shannonrp (talk) 01:35, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
"By region" section
editI deleted most of the "By region" section, since most of it had nothing to do with regional differences within the U.S., and in fact mostly discussed the U.S. as a whole (in direct conflict with the ostensible purpose of the section) in comparison with other countries (a topic already covered in other sections). It also strikes me that the data presented in the bits that were relevant to the ostensible purpose of the section were in tension with some statements made in the rest of it. The table that comprises most of the section actually shows that in many states the teen birth rate is in fact not significantly higher than most of the developed world, but most of the deleted text merely repeats that the average for the U.S. overall is unusually high, without even attempting to address the variations within the U.S. itself. I'd add something to replace what I deleted, but I can't find any sources that actually analyze the variations within the U.S. in depth. For the most part the sources I can find do what the previous version of this section did: report statistics that show variation within the United States, then only discuss the rate of the country overall in comparison with others. Does anyone know how this could be improved?Wolfinator` (talk) 21:43, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
