Namco Fighters
editI suggest a Namco Fighters template, which will show the Tekken series, the Soul series, links to individual games as well as their characters' lists, and a new "Tekken/Soul crossovers" page, to collect together all material that is currently scattered through the "Trivia" and "Misc" sections of the individual pages.
If someone will take care about the templates, I can do the stuff, concerning the crossovers page...
hmmm
editi added this to the list, but i didnt add the info, whoever added the info put it about the game and not the 2009 movie (just to say)

Fair use rationale for Image:Tekken 1 game cover.jpg
editImage:Tekken 1 game cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:02, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Kids
editSome kids are editing the page, renaming all the characters on their own. I fixed that now, but if it happens again I will request a ban. Echad 11:02, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

request for comment at fighting game
editA few editors have been working on the fighting game article. Although it is not meant to be an exhaustive compilation of every fighting game, let alone every variation on a fighting game, we'd appreciate some comments at talk:fighting game to tell us if there are any huge errors or omissions. "First Fighting Game To Feature Simulated 3D"?
editGuinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008 awarded Tekken "First Fighting Game To Feature Simulated 3D". If so, then explain about Virtua Fighter. When they mentioned "Simulated 3D", then that reminds me of Virtua Fighter creator Yu Suzuki telling Game Center CX host Shinya Arino about making his employees record their body movements to program the characters' moves. For Dark Edge, that's a different kind of 3D. Parrothead1983 (talk) 03:49, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- The way I understand it, in Virtua fighter they used 2D graphics and rendered them to become 3D and in Tekken they used unrendered 3D graphics.77.11.167.62 (talk) 13:44, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Tekken (video game). Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.1up.com/features/essential-50-virtua-fighter
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}

Arcade release date
editThe source given for the arcade release saying September '94 doesn't sound right. It looks to be US copyright office but that does not equal release. If anything, normally a product has to first receive copyright or a patent or so before it opens the door to official marketing. It looks wrong.
Plus the much respected and reputable Famitsu in a very recent article also states that it was first released in December '94. [1]. In light of these, I am going to change the release date in the infobox. (also since there is no evidence when the arcade release was in the West, I am going to put it as circa '95) Sceeegt (talk) 15:10, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
