Talk:Telecom infrastructure sharing

Hi Cedars,

Actually i got details from Site-Share.com who enables telecom operators in site sharing process. They have successful history. Should i add then as reference / source ? I removed Tarantula.net link as you suggested. But i believe Site-Share.com link will be useful to telecom companies who really wants to dig more.

Please guide.

Hi Jayeshtula,
Usually you place external links at the end of the article. If you used the Site-share.com as a reference, create a heading called "References" and add the link under that. Wikipedia offers a general guide on writing good articles here. Wikipedia also offers a service to help you write articles here. A really good way to learn about the style (and syntax) of well-written articles is to spend some time browsing the featured articles. Good luck with your work.

Hi Cedars,

As per your guidance; i have moved link to Reference. I wish if wikipedia do not consider this spam anymore. Thanks for your kind help.

Hi Cedars,

Even if i added source in reference; someone has deleted it. The content is provided by this site author and thus we should include this link.

Mast sharing in Britain

edit

As far as I know mast-sharing (at least for mobile phone masts) does not happen in Britain. I have been told that the mobile phone companies don't want it and Ofcom is not pressing for it. The result is that, in some rural areas, some mobile phones will work and others won't. However, if your mobile phone is registered in an EU country other than Britain, you can use any mast through the roaming facility. This means that visitors get a more comprehensive service than people who live in Britain. Can anyone confirm this and supply references? Biscuittin (talk) 11:23, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have found some references which seem to contradict the above. [1] [2] [3]. However, I think they may be muddying the waters because they seem to be about putting several antennae on the same mast rather than sharing antennae. Is there any technical reason why antennae cannot be shared? Biscuittin (talk) 12:30, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
I have started a section on this subject. Please expand it if you can. Biscuittin (talk) 12:59, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
It seems that antenna-sharing is possible but not everybody does it.[4] Biscuittin (talk) 13:27, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
