| Can't see what the hostility is to this page. I've reversed engineered telepen myself, as there is scant (none) information on it elsewhere. When I came here, the page confirmed my results. How is it 'written like an advertisement' ? How is 'relying on sources too close to ..." a bad thing ? As far as I can see, it 'reads' the same as the other barcode symbologies, but not as comprehensive. Ax716 (talk) 12:30, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Teleprocessing
editI've added a source which also mentions in a single sentence that Telepen is suitable for use in "computer teleprocessing and remote data entry using ordinary telephone lines". It's unclear what they mean with that, maybe someone can find more information on the subject. I could imagine that the barcode scanner was connected to a phoneline to transmit data to a central computer.
