Misleading combination of sentences

edit

"Dipsy is the most stubborn of the Teletubbies, and will occasionally refuse to go along with the others' group opinion and will have outbursts of rage . His face is notably darker than the rest of the Teletubbies, and the creators have stated that he is black."

There's no source for the first sentence and the way it's written with the second one seems to somewhat imply that his personality is related to his blackness. After reading that source, I don't see any support for that. This should be re-written in a way that makes it clear that the two are unrelated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2606:6000:66C0:7200:88B1:BFEE:5641:80E9 (talk) 21:54, 8 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

ADD X-FILES REFERENCE TO "In popular culture"

edit
  • In episode 12 of The Vicar of Dibley, Laa-Laa and Po are bridesmaids. They hold the wedding-dress train of Alice Springs Horton (née Tinker).
  • In an episode of The Simpsons titled "Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder", Homer dresses up like a Teletubby to entertain Maggie.
  • In the eleventh episode of the second series of The Chaser's War on Everything, the possibility of Tinky Winky being homosexual was parodied when the Chaser's tested the Peel Hotel (in Collingwood, Melbourne, Victoria)'s gaydar with a Tinky Winky costumed figure that acted in a stereotypical homosexual fashion.
  • In 2012, during a full second and third series of tvN's Saturday Night Live Korea, the programme was referenced as Yeouido Teletubbies (여의도 텔레토비) to portray the 2012 presidential election campaign. This experimental skit caused the popularity of SNL Korea's 'Crew', Kim Seul-gie and Kim Min-kyo, who acted major candidates respectably, to skyrocket.[1]
  • In the X-Files Season 11, Episode 8 "Familiar" (first aired in USA on 3/7/2018), there was a children's television show entitled "Biggle-Tiggles", which was a creepy version of the Teletubbies.

These characters did not have television screens in their bellies. 104.129.196.183 (talk) 21:07, 9 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Not done: While the Bibbletiggles do resemble the Teletubbies, the Bibbletiggles are not actually the Teletubbies, and thus they are not an explicit example of the Teletubbies in popular culture. Spintendo      06:18, 11 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

What are The Teletubbies?

edit

What are The Teletubbies by which I mean how are the shows made? The article should say and it doesn't. Although I think they have appeared in cartoon form, and compilations of the show on YouTube are classed as "Cartoons for children", the original main characters appear not to be "animated cartoons" i.e. 2-D drawn figures but human actors in towel suits. So may we call the show a fantasy costume drama? DroneB (talk) 16:29, 6 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I think so. Let us specify it.  Zezen (talk) 05:59, 4 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

The Teletubbies are made out from a computer CBeebies uses. then, they model them them in a cartoon style and they finish with animation and color . PS, The Tiddlytubbies live in a Play area where there are lots of toys and sleeping mats that move ( wich are called sleepy byes)And they fit 4 tiddlytubbies each.

Article Split and 2015 series ended?

edit

Shouldn't we split the Original and 2015 series into two separate pages like we did with Bob the Builder given both versions are clearly set in different universes? Another thing, shouldn't the 2015 series be listed as ended given no new episodes have premiered since 2016? The web videos don't count given those aren't full episodes which air on TV.
