Contradiction
editThis page claims that "satellite dishes have been officially banned since 1990" but Censorship in Saudi Arabia claims that "In the 2000s, the Saudi government launched its own satellite stations and expressed a desire to work with other governments in the region to develop common censorship guidelines and restrictions". And the linked source say that those stations are television stations. Would the rule really launch a satellite station if the dishes used to receive them are forbidden? --Ysangkok (talk) 18:58, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
The sentence quoted above could not be properly source and thus was removed from Censorship in Saudi Arabia. Though the satellites were officially banned, citizens circumvented this, which is why there was still use of the dishes. It is possible that the government launched its own satellite stations, but a reliable source could not be found to prove this. Erujhaider (talk) 20:57, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
