Assessment
editI've looked at the article and assessed it as a B class article. The article does need some cleanup and some tightening up (the list of Wineries, for example, is something that I think would be more appropriate for WikiTravel).
The next level is a Good Article, so you should look at the criteria for becoming a Good article. BlankVerse 14:34, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Map in Infobox needs update
editThe current map for Temecula’s location within Riverside County, showing the city highlighted in red, is extremely outdated since it still shows Murrieta Hot Springs as an active CDP, Wildomar and Menifee as unincorporated communities, and doesn’t even take into account the existence of the cities of Eastvale and Jurupa Valley. Where Temecula is concerned, the city boundaries on the map don’t include the now-annexed communities of Redhawk and Vail Ranch or the ecological reserve west of I-15 (forming the city’s southwestern “tail.”) From what I can tell, it seems like the map is at least 10 years old (maybe 15?) and it doesn’t really give a good picture of the scope of the city relative to its neighbors or the county. Does someone have an updated map of Temecula that they can use? If not, can someone explain how to create one? Pf1127 (talk) 00:21, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
Proposed move
editShouldn't we move this article back to "Temecula, California" rather than simply "Temecula"? Almost every other city (save for world-famous major cities like L.A. and San Fran, etc.) in California, as well as in the U.S. in general, follows this convention (city name, state name) in their article links, and while Temecula is a fairly large city, it's nowhere near the above cities in either size or fame. - Support. Yes. The move made no sense. KidAd • SPEAK 18:08, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
Addition of Cleanup / Press Release tag to Talk Page
editI added the Cleanup-PR tag to the talk page (vs the main article) because the prose in the main article could use a bit of review for PR-sounding passages to bring it in line with a more neutral, encyclopedic tone. --Zippy (talk) 23:12, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
Comments as a resident.
editIve been a resident since 1995. After reading, there are some statements that don't seem accurate. Such as the one about being concidered part of the greater LA area despite being closer to San Diego. While Riverside county as a whole is considered part of the Greater LA area due to the number of commuters to LA, Temecula has associated itself more with San Diego county particularly with the military and medical care services, also the local Pechanga naming of the San Diego Arena. Secondly when the Temecula hospitol opened, no medical services were added. Merely shortened the distance to seek care, but it is objectively the worse place. Even for emergency services, an urgent care is better or going to the hospitol in neighboring Escondido or Murrieta. 47.149.75.236 (talk) 05:03, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
