Population in districts
editCould someone please cite sources for the numbers in each district? Are they from the 2004 census? Some of the percentages do not make any sense. Dbfirs 20:14, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Please add citations
editAll material needs citations from Reliable Sources (RS). It is unfortunate that so much of the content about history and culture has no sources. Readers have no sources for additional information.Parkwells (talk) 14:09, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- I've removed the unsourced claim to origins to Israel, as that is an Afrocentric revisionist history and not actual, at this time, that is, and is actual original research. Unsourced claims can and should be removed if no reliable citations for inclusion in an encyclopedia which is based on claims made and backed up by reliable second and third party research sources. - This article still contains several unsourced claims which I will remove within a reasonable period if no reliable citations are found. Specifically, claims such as "The settlement (Freetown) was provided as a center for trade between indigenous groups (including the Temne) and Europeans" needs a reliable source as it appears to be historical revisionism. Another unsourced claim is that the "Temne king provided villages and labor to the settlers" - considering how the Nova Scotian Settlers have been well-documented in the literature, it is amazing how this important new fact only recently surfaced here on WP - this is a serious concern. Finally, claiming that the "Temne are scholars" I suspect may not be accurate otherwise a reliable second or third party source should not be difficult to obtain.
