Tennessee's Partner is one of several Harte stories with strong homoerotic elements. These include In the Tules and Uncle Jim and Uncle Billy. The movie version of Paint Your Wagon differs significantly from the stage version, borrowing from Tennessee's Partner. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 23:22, 25 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
