I can confirm they definatly do appear in the Murcia-Almería-Granada region of Spain. I never realised that there was such a thing as a desert truffle, and then I found one in my garden by pure chance today, I looked it up on Wikipedia and what do you know, you actually pinpoint the area I found it in 88.16.50.822:30, 18 October 2006 (UTC)RyuujinReply
"Desert truffles are found North Africa (Morocco to Egypt), in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, and Italy are the most important desert truffles consumers." This is a muddled sentence, I can't make out in which countries they grow and which countries have the most important consumers.--Tchoutoye03:48, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Important : the information about prices is incorrect now. I did some investigating, the price of zubaidi in Saudi now is about 240 dollars a kilogram.--Karimi11:21, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
