@Josire12: Per Bellerophon's comments here, I have added the {{advert}} tag to the article since it contains a significant amount of advertisement-y text. Phrases that are probably in violation of WP:NPOV and WP:NOTSOAP (two of Wikipedia's relevant policies) include:
"We place a great emphasis on teamwork, and teaching is done by all the teachers assigned to the various classes."
"With fresh teachers from the University, equipped with fresh teaching and interpersonal skills, Technical Drawing now seems a much more enticing subject to the students. Definitely, our impressive records over the years have attracted growing interest from students in the younger classes."
"In the area of leisure, man derives things like alcohols, spirits and wines. In cleanliness, man makes soaps, detergents and fabrics for himself." (not sure how this is on-topic)
"When you join Teso College Aloet, you will have access to all of our cutting edge fiction and non-fiction collections, as well as the ICT resources in our one-stop centre of excellence."
"Teso College aims to turn out children who understand the importance of physical activity and healthy living, who keep themselves physically fit so that they can live longer and contribute to the development of society."
"Our values carry forward into our adult lives, improving relationships, work and family lives."
"Eminent physicians, politicians, entrepreneurs and inspirational business leaders are just some of the former students we are proud to call TCA alumni."
"If you come to Teso College Aloet you may find yourself studying with the people and personalities who will become famous names in their chosen profession."
@APerson:, @DGG: I've tried to smash the advertising and inane trivia backbone of this article but Josire12 simply keeps adding it back. I've messaged them but they didn't hear it. I've also asked them to leave edit summaries, but they didn't hear that either. This edit shows that they know how to leave an edit summary, but just can't be bothered. DGG, I've pinged you because you I know you have often been successful in bringing misguided new editors to their senses, perhaps you will succeed where I have failed. Thanks for asking me. I reverted to the most recent acceptable edit, and then went through the article, removing overuse of the name and extensive inappropriate material on the virtues of the various academic subjects. The main improvement still to be made in the current material is removing the duplication of the material on athletics, and reducing the number of photos. The main things that need adding are 3rd party references to the extent they are available, and a list of notable alumni with WP articles. If I'm needed again, just ask. Thanks for your help DGG. I'm about to set off on my summer vacation for 5 days, but I'd be happy to put some work into this article on my return. Particularly with regard to hunting out some independent sources. TTFN. Bellerophontalk to me22:56, 15 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much, DGG! There's still a bit of unnecessary details (e.g. the chronicling of the breeds of the cattle on the school farm and "As a department, we impart business skills...") which I'll try and remove. APerson (talk!) 02:56, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
