Alansohn, there is a small problem with your recent rewording regarding the population. The population actually grew BEFORE the census even happened. The dates, which are accurate, even indicate that the additional housing was built in 1999, one year before the census even took place. I think it's still worth pointing out that the census was incorrect.

As far as information on the population tripling, here's a 1996 article [1] that I found, indicating that the housing would do just that. It predates their constuction but gives some proof that if they were there in 1999, which they were, and the census was done in 2000, the population would actually be three times what the census listed it as.

I'd be interested in reading in this article:
- how to pronounce Teterboro (and the origin of this name)
- everything about the airport, which seems to be the raison d'être of the place.

I'm not so sure that Teterboro students have the option to go to Hackensack High School. From what I know, they go right to Hasbrouck Heights.

  • Having been a Teterboro resident who attended Hackensack High School for a year, I can tell you that it was an option. With the recent changes concerning sending districts, it looks like Hasbrouck Heights will become the mandatory sending district for all High School students. Census accuracy

edit

I wish I could remember where I read it but I think it was in The Record of Hackensack. It said that the exact same 22 people in 1990 lived in the exact same houses in 2000 even though the population of the place was now listed as 18. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.164.136.101 (talk) 00:05, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • I can state for a fact that it's untrue as the Record has documented that the original tenants of the houses on Huyler Street relocated to the then brand new housing on Vincent Place in 1998 and were then left uncounted in the 2000 census. The 18 that WERE counted were entirely new people that had moved into the original homes within those two years. NJZombie (talk) 07:34, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
