editWondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Cities standards might help.
Calexico --> Mexicali. Texarkana --> Arkanexas. (Or so it should be.)
editIf Calexico's cross-border twin city is Mexicali, why isn't Texarkana's "Arkanexas?" --Let Us Update Special:Ancientpages. 09:37, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
- Free speech-someone founded the city and named it Texarkana,that's just that.66.25.13.248 (talk) 13:39, 3 March 2009 (UTC)66.25.13.248
- Also, because "Arkanexas" just sounds wrong (and so does "Texarkansas" for the Texas side of the city), and doesn't acknowledge the fact that the city was originally thought to also be on the Louisiana border. Thank goodness it isn't... having two city governments is bad enough. Three would just be torture. 24.119.145.33 (talk) 15:18, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
Merge two Texarkana pages
editIf you ask me,having two seperate articles for one city is annoying. You could combine the info bars with which county they're in, and we could have two sections for the two sides. Honestly, do you do this with the two sides of Kansas City or the bouroughs of New York City?66.25.13.248 (talk) 13:39, 3 March 2009 (UTC)66.25.13.248
- As a matter of fact, they DO have two separate pages for the two sides of Kansas City, and separate pages for New York City and each of the five boroughs. 24.119.145.33 (talk) 15:15, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
What is the Texarkana government structure?
editIs there a separate government for Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas? If yes, then there should be two separate pages. If there is one unified Texarkana government then there should be just one Texarkana page.
Either way someone needs to describe the city(ies) government structure. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scooteristi (talk • contribs) 07:31, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- The content could do with some expansion, e.g. government, education.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 20:58, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, actually, Texarkana does have two separate governments and everything that goes with it... two police departments, two street departments, and so on. 24.119.145.33 (talk) 15:07, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

Error in article
editWhere it should say "County", the article says "U.S. State" instead. This is on the right hand sidebar where it lists the basic information in a grid format. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2620:46:8000:27:48F9:8019:DB9E:DA91 (talk) 01:30, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
