Teyler's Museum

I strongly disagree. As the oldest museum of the Netherlands, the Teylers started with the Oval room and then expanded from there. The mineralogical cabinet in the center of the room deserves its own article asa historic preservation of minerals reflecting the body of knowledge on minerology from the 18th century, as are several of the instruments in the side cases. I dont think that merging would be the wisest approach here. Although the room definitely has always been part of the Teylers Museum, it has a relevance of its own. Besides the architectural relevance, it could contain potentially so much information which would be too detailed for a normal article for Teylers Museum, that keeping it this way might be the best approach. I hope all this information also gets added in time. Finally, the rooms within Teylers have all a very different atmosphere, and could be considered as little museums of their own - having their own function and I believe also their own conservator. effeietsanders 09:34, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
