The article is clearly written by a COI editor as per the slip up in the article " and we manage eight more NHS Trust"Domdeparis (talk) 14:39, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I wrote the article and im not sure if im responding at the right place as its only my second article. I did not mean this to be promotional I just felt that there should be a page for Thames valley housing association. I actually created it by copying and pasting the template from the article about Genesis housing, removing most of the content and then. Copying and pasting information from http://www.tvha.co.uk/about/ and the companies history page. I tried to remove all the stuff that I thought was overly promotional but I thought it would be a quick way to add content about the company.

I thought this would be the start of an article and substance could be added over time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Silvdo (talkcontribs) 14:48, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Silvdo the article has to meet WP:GNG guidelines and this starts with "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list." --Domdeparis (talk) 14:52, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

--@domdeparis so is Thames valley housing not noteable enough to have a page? Because there are other smaller housing associations listed with much less coverage than Thames valley have. Would it be possible for me to re-write the article so its is a very simple one, rather than copied from their web page? something like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Housing_Group or this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hornsey_Housing_Trust? ~~silvdo — Preceding unsigned comment added by Silvdo (talkcontribs) 14:58, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Looks like a verbatim news search returns about 500 hits. So there seems to be quite a bit to work with. I'm sorting through them.

Also, FYI (which should have already been autmatically put out to all new page reviewers) this appears to be part of the current BBC editathon. Don't forget to assume good faith. TimothyJosephWood 15:35, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... as I described on the talk page, I original copied some content from the TVHA.co.uk website, as a way of getting the article started. which explains the tense of the article. I have now rewritten the article further to include other sources, which hopefully show that the article is noteworthy and in line with other articles about UK housing associations of similar and smaller size. --Silvdo (talk) 15:12, 8 December 2016 (UTC)silvdoReply
