editTo preface, I received this message on my talk page from an alleged representative of Thane Camus:
Neoyamameko I'm writing on behalf of Thane management company. You have the provided incorrect information regarding Thane's lawsuit. I would also like you to stop referencing articles that give a negative impression of Thane. At same time I realized today that I should not “undue” all of your text and leave that which is factual. My apologies and I will stop doing so in the future. I hope we can find a common ground to make a accurate entry for Thane's page in the future. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaikuner (talk • contribs) 06:07, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia is *not* a fansite or a place only to hear positive information about a celebrity. If information is entered from a reliable source, do not take it off because either you don't like it or it puts the person in a negative light in parts provided it is not an article dedicated to a personal attack. That is censorship and against wiki policy. If you represent or are in the employ of said celebrity and are editing in order to promote the celebrity, then that is also aganist wiki policy. Feel free to put a neutrality tag or add sourced information not from a site affiliated with the celebrity that "balances" the article. Finally, if you have issue with the sources themselves, then take those issues up with the people that published those articles and not the people that used them to add content to the articles.
