Fair use rationale for Image:Thar Express.jpg

Image:Thar Express.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Major issues and clean

This article has several major issues, which I have cleaned up.

  1. . Incomplete article title: The actual name of the train is Thar Link Express, not Thar Express. I have corrected the name through out the article. Action still pending: Please move the article to Thar Link Express name space.
  2. The article seems to confuse this weekly international train with other daily train that runs within Pakistan along the same route.
  3. The train loco and rakes are owned by the Indian railway for the full non-stop journey in both directionns from Jodhpur-Karachi and back. Previously article has been misleadingly written as if Pakistan railway owns the train. This has been corrected. it is further clarified that both nations are responsible for providing track and security within their border.
  4. History: Appropriate context has been widened and clarified, in the lead itself. Article lead can have up to 4 paragraph, as per wiki guidelines. This article is well within guidelines.
  5. Images added, historical route (same as current route), as well as the originating station from India for the DOWN journey,
  6. Karachi was mistakenly mentioned as the starting point. Train stats from Jodhpuyr with Indian loco and rake, goes to Karachi with same loco and rake and comes back. Jodhpur has now correct been shown as the source point and Karachi as destination (fact is valid for the first Thar Link Express train, as well as each run of the train that run currently)
  7. Article rephrased to remove the hapazard impression of several disjointed previous edits by many people.
  8. Other general clean up.

Request/reminder: Please move the article name space to Thar Link Express. Thanks.

Arrogance is a bliss

Your arrogance, bias and general ignorance is laughable yet sad at the same time.

  1. The Indian train is called Thar Link Express from Jodpur to Munabao. From Pakistan, it's called the THAR EXPRESS only.
  2. The article does not confuse a weekly international train that runs within Pakistan along the same route. The Indian train does NOT enter Pakistan and stops at the border. The Pakistani train picks up those same passengers and transports them within Pakistani territory. THAR LINK EXPRESS to India is what THAR EXPRESS is to Pakistan. So if you want to put your own wild imaginations in the history section, feel free to create another article called THAR LINK EXPRESS and write whatever you want there. Do not vandalize this article with your Indian POV.
  3. The train loco and rakes are owned by the Indian railway for the journey ONLY between Jodhpur and Munobao. Indian Railway locos and carriages do not cross the border. Pakistan Railways assumes that responsibility. Previously the article had correctly written that Pakistan Railway owns the Pakistani portion of the train. This has been deleted by you for NO reason whatsoever without providing a shred of evidence to back your claims.
  4. The history section is a figment of your imagination, bring up 1971 Bangladesh? And what international neutral source states the Pakistan Air Force bombed the tracks? Are you aware of how Wikipedia works? This is not Indipedia, this is Wikipedia. Get with the program please.
  5. Karachi is the starting point for the Pakistani side of the journey. The article is named THAR EXPRESS, not THAR LINK EXPRESS. If you want to discuss your own train, make your own article.
  6. I've made the necessary re-edits again, and will continue doing so. Your vandalism and Indian bias is not welcomed at all.

Sequence of native language names

Use the wiki convention of alphabetical order, for the the native language names, or use the language that is more widely spoken. In both cases, it is Hindi. Hence, Hindi has been placed first. This good faith incremental edit is not an unnecessary edit, as the good article should follow the conventions. Any revert without proper justification, and without building consensus here will be treated as vandalism. If any one has other suggestions, please leave the justification and wait for few days for others to respond. Thanks. 2404:E800:E61E:452:F93B:EF49:CD4D:963C (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2404:E800:E61E:452:F93B:EF49:CD4D:963C (talkcontribs) 23:53, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

To merge Thar Link Express and Thar Express under their common name. Klbrain (talk) 19:38, 28 December 2019 (UTC)

Thar Express is the WP:COMMONNAME as per the mainstream media for the train as a whole. Link Express is the name for the Indian side of the train. Both the articles must be viewed to get a complete sense out of it. Suggesting a merge for the benefit of the readers. DBigXray 19:33, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
