syndication
edit1. According to the shows imdb page [1] the show has been syndicated by Columbia TriStar Domestic Television
2. Plenty of shows that never reached 100 episodes have been syndicated. Ever heard of a show called Star Trek (79 episodes)? Here are some others:
What's Happening!! (85 episodes) The Prisoner (17 episodes) Clueless (TV series) (62 episodes) The Honeymooners (39 episodes)
The reason why these shows are syndicated anyway is because of their large cult following. But That's My Mama's cult isn't THAT large so it rarely gets rerun....not never. MrBlondNYC 09:25, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- I looked for any reference on that page to Columbia TriStar syndicating it, but couldn't find it. Could you point it out ot me? It's not on the main page you linked. When are you maintaing that it was syndicated? In the seventies? Certainly not now. Moncrief 17:51, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- Scroll down towards the bottom to where it says "Distributors". It lists ABC, the original network, Sony, which distributes the DVDs and Columbia Tristar Television which in 2001 acquired the rights to many old TV shows for syndication. In fact a major complaint by purchasers of the DVDs is that they are the syndication versions. [2] (scroll down to the reviews) They were edited down to 22 minutes since shows ran a little longer back then. The key word here is "RARELY". It probably hasn't aired in most areas over the years. But it has been shown most likely in smaller markets. Most likely late night/early morning in some markets. I personally have never seen this show rerun. But I can personally attest to 2 things: 1) That edited syndicated versions at least exist. There's no need to edit them down to 22 minutes for DVD and 2) smaller markets like the Mountain Time Zone often show reruns of somewhat forgotten shows to fill time because they are cheaper. I would love to hear from someone who can remember reruns being shown in their area. MrBlondNYC 08:37, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:ThatsMyMama.jpg
editImage:ThatsMyMama.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
