Should it not be moved to That Power? #thatPower is just a stylisation! — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 23:40, 19 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Oh, and is it #thatPower or #thatPOWER? Helicopter Llama 16:30, 28 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
It also says "The correct title of this article is #thatPower. The substitution or omission of the # is because of technical restrictions." Yet, since it's just for stylization reasons, the correct title of the article is what it is now and there should be no need for the hatnote. Shouldn't it be like other articles that use stylization in the name, and the first sentence written as "ThatPower" (stylized as #thatPower)? --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 04:36, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. There is no ban of stylization on Wikipedia as long as it's not too extreme (like for example entirely in Chinese characters or something like that). So we don't need to be nitpicky and create problem where there is none. The overzealous style policemen have no grounds to stand on anyway as they always have shoddy double-standards (you don't see them dare go to the Apple handset page and edit "I phone, stylized as iPhone". Loginnigol (talk) 10:27, 14 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Starcheers doesn't say anything about banning stylization. He/she says that the inclusion of the "#" isn't required. Allow me to explain why the inclusion of # is different to the inclusion of a letter. # stands for one of two things, its a symbolic representation of the word "number" or it is a social media mechanism "hash-tagging" most prominently used on twitter. If the name of the song was read and sung as "hashtag that power" but was written as "#thatPower" then including the "#" is detrimental to the name. However, the name of the song as per what's song and said outloud is "that power". Therefore the inclusion of the "#" is for the social media mechanism rather than to represent the word "number". As a result, the reason to include the "#" is stylistic, i.e. its a stylistic choice for the copyright (the copyright being legally registering the song is a recorded work), but it is not pronounced in the work nor is it part of the title. the inclusion of "i" in "iphone" is not stylistic, it is part of the copyright and part of the name, thus including the i is detrimental to the work in question as a phone and an iphone are two different things whereas #thatpower and thatpower are one in the same, as in this context the "#" has no meaning. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 19:50, 21 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

ThatPowerThat Power – There is difference in media and references as to how the song is named. Variations include #thatPower, #thatPOWER, #ThatPower, #thatpower and so on. The cover-art says #THATPOWER and the choice to include a # is purely stylistic in the same way that Kesha chooses to write her name as Ke$ha. "That Power" is two words. see Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Article titles for the MoS on this. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 22:18, 30 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

comment, fixed, it should read move ThatPower to That Power. the choice of no space is stylistic. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 21:58, 31 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

That is indeed true. On second though, I have to oppose, for the above reasons. Zach 03:41, 11 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Oppose I really don't see the point in adding a space and "(will.i.am song)" to the title. If anything, we should move it to thatPOWER, but that is just a stylization. On iTunes, the song is titled "#thatPOWER," and hence it should stay here72.74.136.49 (talk) 20:44, 11 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose there does not appear to be any precedent to change the title, nothing overwhelming to suggest that the space will be an improvement and will likely decrease searchability. Agree also per Peter James above. Tiggerjay (talk) 20:59, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose Camel case is generally a frivolous style choice, but it's one of the few that we actually recognize around here. --BDD (talk) 23:50, 18 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
