Declined speedy deletion
editI declined the speedy deletion on this one because of the massive number of Google hits, but it needs sources establishing notability. - Dank (push to talk) 15:44, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
How is it not noteworthy? It's the biggest and one of the oldest fansites of Tolkien out there, and even GTD posts there occasionally. It was even mentioned in several 'official' LOTR related books including Peter Jackson's biography and The Frodo Franchise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.104.179.82 (talk) 02:47, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Original author is newbie still learning process. I marked hangon with her consent. I and others will help her establish significance. What makes fansite unique is the mutual relationship with the filmmakers, who post to the site, answer rumors, participate in events, etc. I myself am not skilled at Wiki markup but do know the content area. Thanks for your patience. Cwilsyn 66.142.67.69 (talk) 05:08, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
The fansite obviously has a relationship with the filmmakers, who submit news releases *through* their site, went to their fan-run Oscars after-parties, GDT even posts there (when he can) to answer questions, and did you see when Weta made a "happy 10th anniversary TORN" video? The article may need improvement, but by every measurable quality, this article should exist at least in some capacity. --Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici (talk) 14:59, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
