The problem I have run into with The Acreage and Loxahatchee is that they are not a Census Designated Places. They are only community names in unincorporated Palm Beach County. I have entered this information the best as I can for now. Does anyone have any suggestions or is anyone willing to edit this so that it is closer to a true geographic entry? The Acreage and Loxahatchee are significant areas, about 50+ square miles. I am very surprised that these are not CDP's due to the population and land size, though most of the population has moved into this area in the last 5 years, after the 2000 Census. Loxahatchee Incorporated.

edit

Finally! Loxahatchee was incorporated area as of the month of March, 2007.

  • Just a note of clarification. Not all of Loxahatchee is incorporated. The "old" area of Loxahatchee, known as Loxahatchee Groves, is the area that had incorporated. This actually occurred in November, 2006, but the first council wasn't elected into office until March, 2007. The other parts of the 33470 zip code, which has the mailing address of "Loxahatchee", is in unincorporated Palm Beach County. Firerescuelieut 00:18, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

acreage cancer cluster?

edit

on the march 9, 2010 edition of the Dr. Oz show, the first segment featured the supposed cancer cluster in the acreage. should there be a section on this in the article since its been nationally featured? 74.173.105.47 (talk) 20:16, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
