Fair use rationale for Image:Addams gomez5.jpg
Image:Addams gomez5.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The Addams children (on the TV show) DO attend school.
I just saw an episode where both children are shown returning to the house from school, and talking to their parents about what transpired at school that day. They are not "apparently home-schooled." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.86.207.107 (talk) 10:03, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- I saw an episode where they return from school horrified by the books they have to readGoldilocks and the three bears, and that nasty girl, Cinderella etc. Moriticia becomes an author of nice books about swamps, witches, etc. The are seen returning from schhol again at a later stage of that episode. So where's the New Addams Family?
Since The New Addams Family redirects here, shouldn't there be some reference to the revival series? 23skidoo (talk) 14:30, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
What's with "Ebony Beaver" in the theme song lyrics?
If nobody objects, I'd like to change "It is Ebony Beaver" to "It's the Addams Family" ... —Preceding unsigned comment added by VVolney (talk • contribs) 21:39, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

I have rated this television show high on the importance scale for the following reasons:
-The Addams Family TV series has clearly had a strong impact on culture in the United States, spawning a spinoff series, multiple films, and even more video games. I have rated this television show article as a start class for the following reasons: -The page has an in-depth look at the characters of the show, maybe a little too much. The characters are already explained extensivley in other articles. I would recommend creating seperate pages for the major characters -The page has almost no discussion as to how the series was made (ie. no Behind-the-scenes looks at production) -The page has the proper templates and info boxes -Through my skimming, I could tell the page had an adequate amount of proper English usage I would recomend the following be changed if the article is to be moved to a class B status: -Add info about the production of the show -Make the character summaries more concise, or move the character descriptions to seperate pages Once these and any other necessary changes are inacted, feel free to put this article up for review. Cast
The tone of the "cast" portion is not appropriate for an encylclopedia article (too cutesy), and some of the language simply doesn't make sense ("Morticia dabbles in art, raises flesh-eating plants (often recalled as hamburgers)," "Lurch is very high-minded about visitors") PurpleChez (talk) 13:30, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- Why not change it? It was not too terrible - afterall they are descriptions of cute sitcom characters. However I thought it overall much to wordy and rambling, so I have tightened up a lot of this now. Format (talk) 06:00, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Supernatural powers
Other than Thing, and perhaps Lurch, none of the characters have supernatural powers...

- Well Fester is electrical, and Morticia "smokes". Those things aren't natural - I guess they might be supernatural though? Format (talk) 06:02, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- Morticia lights candles by touching them (Season 1, Episode 21, "The Addams Family Goes to Court). Cousin Itt can climb walls (Season 1, Episode 21, "Cousin Itt Visits the Addams Family"). Lying on a bed of nails or being imprisioned in an iron maiden without injury might be considered supernatural. Wastrel Way (talk) Eric
Uncle Fester and Grandmama are often seen trying to work voodoo , magic spells , etc. - for some this might be considered "supernatural". Harvey J Satan (talk) 01:25, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Yes, they do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.149.12 (talk) 03:35, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
