Tone

I put up the tone tag instead of an NPOV tag, because based on my scant recollections of the show, the article describes it well. However, it does potentially cross that line with comments like "Hopefully, new generations of fans can enjoy The Alvin Show if it makes its way to the thriving TV DVD market." There are other lines that don't seem to fit the tone of the encyclopedia such as He wouldn't have known an original idea if it exploded in his face." And there are weasel words like "many fans." If comments like those were cleaned up, this would be a much better article. Gershwinrb 09:18, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

YouTube Sighting

I saw an original close (complete with sponsor spot) on YouTube Friday.

Rights issue

I remember Viacom syndicating "The Alvin Show" in the 1980's in syndication. Doesn't CBS currently own rights to the show? Terehend72 05:13, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Actually, No Bagdasarian Productions have the rights to The Alvin Show, after all Ross Bagdasarian, Sr. created the show and wrote some of the tunes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.176.152.231 (talk) 18:51, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

DVD

Any evidence that DVD for "The Alvin Show" is coming on May 2008? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.176.152.231 (talk) 07:18, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Nope. There was no evidence. WikiLubber (talk) 03:46, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Distribution rights

User ChrisP2K5 wishes to know whether Viacom had still held rights to the series between the mid-90's and 2005, when Viacom and corporate sibling CBS were split into two separate entities. If Viacom had retained distribution rights to The Alvin Show then the rights would be currently held by Viacom's successor, CBS Television Distribution. WikiLubber (talk) 03:46, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
