I think the introduction may be copy-vio... Jaberwocky6669 03:05, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC) it reads like a magazine

Alright... Anybody planning to finish up the summary?

The book shows jane at first being lead blindly by big Laura all the way to becoming a leader of Negroe rights in the 1950's. It shows her courageous life and how hard it was for a woman in that time period. That is what makes this book an inspiring story.

Completion

edit

This article is like a picaresque novel, and the later parts need to be completed Chasnor15 (talk) 16:01, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Who is Corporal Brown?

edit

Who is Corporal Brown? Brown has three mentions in the article and I can't tell who he is or why he's important. (Or even if he's a 'he' though I will grant a lack of female corporals in the 19th century.) As someone who never read the book (and who saw the movie once in grade school [presented as non-fiction!]) I need guidance. Co149 (talk) 21:52, 6 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
