"Aciebat"

What exactly is the meaning of "aciebat"? The significance of this enigmatic word to the painting is unverifiable by the sole source of this article at the time of this post. GeneralPoxter (talk) 14:06, 21 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

??? "It is signed "TICIANUS F.[aciebat]" means "F." is an abbreviation for "faciebat", Latin for "made", and a very common one. Strictly it's the " third-person singular imperfect active indicative of faciō". Mind you, "fecit" is an equal possibility. Johnbod (talk) 16:18, 21 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
