editThis is the first episode to use wide screen format, at least as downloaded from itunes. Does anybody have any background information on this, since widescreen television sets weren't even a blip on the radar in 1998? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.234.198.222 (talk) 21:02, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- (answer a year later) Probably just an artistic decision; maybe wanted to "feel" more like the movie, since that was what had just preceded this episode in the storyline. --LarryJeff (talk) 17:32, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Will review soon. Ruby 2010/2013 15:50, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- No need for the Vancouver link (see WP:OVERLINK). Same for Los Angeles, California, United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland
- Why the quotes when mentioned the feature film?
- it's -> it is; doesn't -> does not (don't use contractions)
- Who is The Black-Haired Man? Is there a relevent wikilink for him? Add the actor's name?
- Indeed, the very first shot of the episode—a long look into the sun was—intended by Carter to "boldly announce the show's arrival in Southern California." -?> Indeed, the very first shot of the episode—a long look into the sun—was intended by Carter to "boldly announce the show's arrival in Southern California.
- new co-Executive Producer -> new co-executive producer
- Wikilink David Duvhovny in pre-production section
- Make sure the first mention of Spotnitz includes his name and a wikilink in production section
- the writers sought... the writers sought (needs switching up)
- No need to say Carter is the series creator twice; also avoid wikilinking him more than once in the article body
- Wikilink to Southern California Edison
- The episode was the second highest rated episode of the sixth season Removed bolded (or input "The Beginning")
- "The episode received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics, ranging from largely positive to negative". I think this statement could be written differently. Maybe "Critical reception to the episode was divided, as reviews ranged from largely positive to negative"
- Remove that X-Files link in reception section (I think it's already linked plenty above!)
I'll place the review on hold for seven days. Thanks, Ruby 2010/2013 22:40, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- OK, I believe I've addresses all the concerns. Thanks a ton for reviewing this article!--Gen. Quon (talk) 02:35, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- Made some of the unresolved edits myself. Looks good, passing for GA. Nice work, Ruby 2010/2013 20:00, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
