It is a man that Valenzo flees, not a demon!

"The black stranger"referred to in the title proves out to be a vengeful stygian mage whose services Valenzo has utilized but then betrayed. deCamp did identify this unnamed mage with Thoth-Amon. The now chaotic situation in Zingara causes that Valenzo has no king or other to protect him. He thusly must flee the kingdom, not knowing that his sea captain have plans of his own and a map leading to the treasure of Tranicos. A rather ghoulish aspect of this story is that at most 12- year old Tina originally was a sex-slave of the said captain. She was rescued from this by Beleza to whom wise beyond her age Tina is wholly devoted. Another unpleasant aspect is the undeniable racism we meet in this story. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.130.31.203 (talk) 12:22, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
