Talk:The Boys' Brigade in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland

Logo
editI've just added to this article the logo used The Boys' Brigade (BB) in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland (UK & RoI).
Notably it does include a slogan ("the adventure begins here"), but the BB UK & RoI do not seem to make use of or make available a version without such a slogan. As a precedence, the logo used on the The Scout Association article does include a slogan too ("be prepared").
In the interest of disclosure, I am involved with The Boys' Brigade, by way of being a leader in a local Company as noted on my user page. However I do not seek to make any changes to BB-related articles that would make them promotional; that said if anyone sees any changes they think are problematic, please do feel free to challenge/remove them. Move/retitling
editI've just moved/retitled the article from The Boys' Brigade in the United Kingdom to The Boys' Brigade in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland to reflect that the national BB organisation in question covers both the UK and the Republic of island, as per this national structure page. If you have any issues, please feel free to revert the change or just discuss it here. Rfdparker (talk) 19:46, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Boysbrigade anchor redesign copy small.jpg
editThe image Image:Boysbrigade anchor redesign copy small.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Notable Member Company Attributions
editI've noticed that the most recent two names in the 'Notable Members' section include company attributions to the 44th Nottingham, yet no other members of this list have any reference to their company. There should be a consensus on whether or not we're going to include attributions or not.
Personally I'm in favour of going without, there's no need on this page for BBUK to include the references, nor is there any need to set a precedent which for most members cannot be complied with (where are we going to find information about the companies of all those names?).
I'm removing for now, if you object, please let's here why rather than just reverting my edit. Full disclosure (as above), I am involved with the BB, but have no interest in making this promotional, much like Rfdparker. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrCrazyDude (talk • contribs) 08:24, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
