Hi, i just removed a Prod deletion tag that had been added with a note to the effect that this is not a notable place and that sources were not available. Au contraire, the place is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In general places are NRHP-listed only if they meet well-specified criteria of national or local importance, and hence a kind of notability has already been judged by many parties involved in a nomination and review process. And, for any NRHP-listed place, there is an extensive set of NRHP nomination and/or inventory documents. The NRHP docs for this particular place have not been obtained and referenced yet, but they would allow for extensive development and for good explanation of the significance of this particular place (which is not yet well-developed in the article). It is marked as a stub, calling for expansion, and is a good article to have in place, developing.
To anyone who might develop it, please consider requesting the NRHP documents, which are available at no charge, by email request to nr_reference (at) nps.gov. --doncram (talk) 03:51, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
The article was put into AFD process and in the course of that I put in a request for the NRHP document, which i have now received. It provides a certain amount of information directly which could be used to further develop this article, beyond some editing of mine just now. It also cites a Cathcart-specific source, the memoirs of a later owner, which might provide considerably more, too. --doncram (talk) 21:26, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
