Fair use rationale for Image:The citadel of chaos.jpg

edit

Image:The citadel of chaos.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Revised cover date

edit

The caption to the cover pics says: "The original and revised cover of The Citadel of Chaos (both 1983)." I'm not at all convinced that the revised cover was of such an early date. Island of the Lizard King was published in 1984, and still had the old-style cover (with the number in a star). The first book I remember having the updated design with the green zigzag strip at the top was Scorpion Swamp, which came out a little later in 1984. I haven't changed the article because I don't have proof for my feeling, but at the time I was an avid reader of Fighting Fantasy books and I'm sure I would have noticed had the cover design changed as early as 1983. You're right. I'd didn't see the banded green version until Book #8, so it must a later version. I'll source the date and post it together with a better image of the reprint. Regards. Thebladesofchaos (talk) 03:13, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Without combat

edit

The page currently says that it is "possible to finish the adventure without having engaged in combat at all". I do not think this claim is correct. Is there a source for it? Especially Lime (talk) 18:00, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, you can get the entire way through without combat. There's even an item for defeating the Balthus Dire straight up. I suppose we can try for a source. PurpleHeartEditor (talk) 03:29, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
The combat I believe to be unavoidable is at 213 (to get the ointment). What's your route that misses it? Especially Lime (talk) 12:03, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Errors

edit

Instead of the current edit war, which is going nowhere, can we please discuss the Errors section and make a decision? In my opinion it's unencyclopedic and unecessesary information, only one step above the dreaded Trivia section. Euchrid (talk) 22:32, 27 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Have advised the user in question. Oakendoor (talk) 12:29, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
