The introductory paragraph needs to be edited and I do not know how to do that. "The British Circle of the Universal Bond" is correctly translated as "The Druid Circle of the Universal Bond" "Druidh"(I should think obviously) means Druid, not British. James Maertens (Alferian). I am a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alferian (talk • contribs) 16:30, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Title of article etc.
editI figured out how to edit the opening paragraph. This article needs a lot more work. The title of the article is problematical because the name "The Druid Order" was (as I understand it from Hutton, Blood and Mistletoe) not the main name used by the order. It was called the Ancient Druid Order and the Universal Bond. After the 1964 split, Ross Nichols' branch was and is called the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD). There is another order that branched off of OBOD called the BDO, the British Druid Order. The nomenclature is just confusing. The Ancient Druid Order (ADO) should not be confused with the (Ancient Order of Druids) which is a fraternal order a century older than the Universal Bond, and the other druid group performing ceremonies at Stonehenge prior to 1985. I will see if I can find time to sort through this article further. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alferian (talk • contribs) 16:41, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
The names by which The Druid Order is and has been known by.
editTo whom it may concern:
I would be most greatful on behalf of The Druid Order and its members if others not in the order (especially those from later offshoot groups like O.B.O.D.) do not alter the names that The Druid Order has used and still uses. The Gaelic name is a good example. The Gaelic is, and never was, translated into English. The two names are TOTALLY different and relate to different things. Thank you.
