Interesting how there is no mention of Iain Stables, on this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.153.147.164 (talk) 09:02, 26 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

New frequency

edit

Does The Edge now broadcast in Christchurch on 88.9FM? It seems weird and that's what it says on the bottom of the official website. But the frequency change has never been mentioned anywhere. Pmi25 (talk) 02:17, 10 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

It was explained on air that they moved from 89.0 to 88.9 and upped their power on the transmitter at the same time. Interestingly if you type 'south' and send it via sms to 3343 within NZ you get a list of their South Island frequencies back in a return SMS - and it still says 89.0. I guess the frequency change was to aide in deconflicting with other transmitters in the region. 58.28.158.215 (talk) 08:39, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

2012 edit

The users restoring this really should read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines - especially "The purpose of a Wikipedia talk page is to provide space for editors to discuss changes to its associated article or project page. " May need to recommend this article be considered for locking if it keeps up? BlakJakNZ 00:11, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just read through those guidelines and can't actually see where it says you CAN'T do this sort of thing, it does not say IT IS UNACCEPTABLE to create such a page. This page has just been written for a bit of fun but I guess I won't revert it since there are so many PC people out there.

Thank you. Remember that Wikipedia is meant to be an Encyclopedia - theres a list of what Wikipedia is not. See Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not and perhaps most relevantly, Wikipedia:No original research. It could be said that your future vision is both non encyclopediac, and an original work. Also recommend you review Wikipedia:Why create an account?. However for the record I did enjoy reading the future vision! This just isn't the right place for it, IMHO. Fair use rationale for Image:The edge logo.PNG

edit

Image:The edge logo.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Conflict of Interest

edit

Reference http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Edge_%28radio_station%29&diff=226171439&oldid=224958162 - I'd have agreed if the edit was contentious... seems to me it was adding what were essentially verifiable edits to the page. Why revert? —Preceding unsigned comment added by BlakJakNZ (talkcontribs) 08:37, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm sure there are secondary sources for at least the most significant shows - I've reverted your edit for now and will start adding references. Ollieinc (talk) 09:48, 3 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
