Talk:The Eye of Jupiter (Battlestar Galactica)

Reference to Starbuck's Apartment

edit

I added a Trivia section mentioning that one of the paintings in Starbuck's apartment on Caprica is obviously a depiction of the Eye of Jupiter symbol. KyuzoGator 19:45, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

MatthewFenton, why was the trivia section removed? The "Eye of Jupiter" mural in Starbuck's apartment is very relevant and should be mentioned. KyuzoGator 03:39, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've restored the Trivia section. If you want to remove it again, please post a discussion here first. KyuzoGator 18:33, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
No. You must discuss the addition here as trivia sections are bad, trivia is not encyclopaedic (WP:AVTRIV) - and frankly it doesn't have a purpose in this article as it really is *just* trivia. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 18:40, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
A critical plot device for this episode (the mysterious Eye of Jupiter symbol) was seen previously in an earlier episode. Perhaps putting it under the heading "Trivia" is not appropriate, but the information itself is very relevant. "Generally, trivia is defined as information that is interesting without being important." This information is both interesting and potentially very important. Now that we know for a fact that the painting in Starbuck's apartment was the Eye, I think it should be mentioned here. KyuzoGator 14:14, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
It depends now, in the article under a section bulleted it is still just trivial, yes, why do you ask? Helo has now however made the connection in "Raptor" so it would be relevant there. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 14:17, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Battlestar Galactica - Nuclear missiles.jpg

edit

Image:Battlestar Galactica - Nuclear missiles.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
