Never mind. I misunderstood the interaction of the three articles on this one church. Kajidi (talk) 03:06, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Merger Proposal

edit

I propose that this article be merged with the article on the historic church, which already has some discussion of the schism. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:23, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your proposal has a basis, but do you think that there aren't sufficient sources to establish notability of The Falls Church (Anglican)? --Newchildrenofthealmighty (talk) 13:37, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

POV

edit

The article's description of events leading to the separation sounded a bit too much like it was written by a participant on one side of those events, and I've tried to clean it up a bit. I am not particularly familiar with some of proper terms to be used here, so feel free to clean up what I've done, but please don't reintroduce language that implies that, of course the Anglicans split from the Episcopalians, in their apostasy -

Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 20:21, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Unattributed quotes

edit

This article has problems with unattributed quotations. Particularly troubling is the following sentence: "Several episodes contributed to the widening split, including the failure of the 2006 Episcopal convention to "confirm Christ as Lord" and the consecration of Gene Robinson, a partnered gay man, as Bishop of New Hampshire."

There is no link following the sentence to any URL indicating that the 2006 Episcopal Convention failed to "confirm Christ as Lord". Indeed, the Episcopal Church's own website says otherwise: https://www.episcopalchurch.org/what-we-believe/creeds/

The sentence should be amended to exclude the quote, unless/until anyone is able to attribute that quote to a person or organization.
