I checked terms and I am not a paid editor. How do we get this page restored?Brendanwynne (talk) 13:49, 16 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
- @Brendanwynne: do you mean the foundation you co-founded has never bought you a coffee, a meal, a table or computer, a plane ticket, paid mileage for your car or provided a tax receipt to you? You need not receive salary to be a paid editor. You have a strong COI so the tag is still quite relevant. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 17:17, 16 April 2020 (UTC) Yes, as I wrote, I checked the terms and am not a paid editor. This is a charitable organisation. How can the page be restored? - @JJMC89: Hi there, could you help un-delete this page please? It seems to be have deleted for the above reason which wasn't accurate. Thanks Brendanwynne (talk) 22:20, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
- The page has not been deleted, it has been moved to draft because it wasn't ready for main space, many of the sources were written by one of the founders and so they are not independent. Theroadislong (talk) 06:30, 21 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
- @Theroadislong: Thank you - 13 of the 17 references are not though - they are from major independent media such as Reuters, CNN, Vogue, Evening Standard, etc. - all of which include The Five Foundation and its work. Nimco Ali, co-founder, is the leading global spokesperson on this issue (female genital mutilation), so the other 4 references are opinion pieces by her in major international media (which go through a thorough review process before publication too - and also show her relevance and notability on the issue of FGM). Should these be deleted? Are 13 independent references from some of the world's biggest media outlets not sufficient? Thanks, Brendanwynne (talk) 09:39, 21 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
