Getting Started

edit

For anyone who would like to improve this article, there is a useful essay by Steve Meyer in the Charles H. Kerr Co. edition of The Flivver King (ISBN-13: 978-0882860541). In particular, the "Effects" category in this entry is very general and seems to comment on the ultimate value of unionization as opposed to the content of the novel. Perhaps it would make more sense to lengthen the "Plot summary" section and cut the "Effects"? Toby Higbie 18:31, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would like to propose to add a section of "Characters" and outline a brief description with links of the main characters of The Flivver King. I believe this will bring the page more in line with the Wikiproject novels template. Does anyone have any objections or thoughts on this?Mjarka911 16:01, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good idea. Let's start a list of people, companies, unions, and events important to the Flivver King that also have existing Wikipedia entires we can link to. Please add your suggestions. Toby Higbie 13:38, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template to Fill In

edit

There is a useful Wikipedia:WikiProject_Novels/ArticleTemplate from the WikiProject Novels page. I am pasting in the relevant sections here so we can begin to fill them in on the Discussion page first and then move them over later. When you click into edit mode, you'll see additional instructions and suggestions within the template. Toby Higbie 17:32, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is no mistake that the book was meant to provoke and challenge its readers; on the cover (seen here), as a preface to the first edition it is stated:
