Talk:Golden Isles of Georgia

Salepo Island is not one of the Golden Isles, according to most sources. I'll try to find out. Bubba73 15:00, August 20, 2005 (UTC)

Merge Golden Isles and Golden Isles of Georgia

edit
OK, I've done it. The article needs to be polished, so I put a cleanup tag. Bubba73 (talk), 23:17, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
I cleaned up the paragraphs and reordered a few things. If anyone feels like the tag should be removed, I'm fairly new so I don't know how this should be done. I'd appreciate any pointers in this area ;) Markleci 07:06, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
It probablt doesn't need the tag anymore. To remove it, simply edit the page and take it out. I changed "Simon's" back to "Simons", because that is the official name now. Bubba73 (talk), 20:06, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I live in the area and I agree that all of the islands should be in Wikipedia. However, I checked several sources and only those four islands are referred to as the "Golden Isles", and they are still called that. Maybe you could make an article "Barrier Islands of Georgia" and include all of them. Bubba73 (talk), 14:59, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
A Google search for "Golden Isles" AND "Georgia" gives 226,000 hits. Bubba73 (talk), 18:03, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Tourist piece

edit

Why does this article read as a tourist piece? Note the usage of words such as "luxurious" and "rich."--Ms.23 (talk) 11:54, 17 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

That sort of thing needs to be changed. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 16:10, 17 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for the late response, and I wholeheartedly agree.--Ms.23 (talk) 23:05, 4 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Cutoff/Missing Part of a List/Editing Needed

edit

At one point the article begins to list each island and talk about features and ownership. Halfway through the list it says "Sapelo Island" and then cuts off/ends the paragraph without continuing the description of Sapelo or any other islands. Allevolve (talk) 02:51, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

It looks like either someone made an editing error or intentionally deleted it. We can look back in the history of the file to see if there was once more to it. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 05:02, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
