The section and tables have been added to show the availability of surviving issues, for Central Coast newspapers from the 1890s through to the 1950s. The Guardian and Wyong and Lakes District Advocate have been included in this page, as they sit alongside The Gosford Times in covering the period. Also, they help to fill in some fill gaps. For example, issues of The Guardian survive from early 1937, but The Gosford Times issues from those six months have not. Between 1941 and 1948 inclusive, only seven issues of The Gosford Times are available now, but issues of The Wyong and Lakes District Advocate from 1941, 1943, early 1947 and late 1948 can be viewed on microfilm. Similarly, The Guardian provides some coverage of 1943 and 1948.

The number of surviving issues for the period from 1952 to 1962 are approximate at the time of writing, pending further visits to the State Library of NSW, in Sydney.

There is also the details of microfilm issues of the Central Coast Express that might be added to this article. That paper began in 1946 and microfilm copies are available from the 1950s onwards. Again, further visits to the State Library of NSW will reveal more. Nhoj1898 (talk) 12:42, 6 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Added two more roles of The Wyong and Lakes District Advocate. Reel 3 has miscellaneous issues between 1949 and 1957, with many gaps. Reel 4 covers June 1956 to June 1958, with no gaps, apart from December 25,1957 when there was no issue. The two rolls overlap, but Reel 4 has much better coverage of the overlapping period. Following a few more visits to the State Library of NSW, the availability numbers for The Gosford Times have been updated. The last issue was on Wednesday, December 5, 1962. I have also been reminded that there are many more reels of The Wyong and Lakes District Advocate that cover the late 1950s and 1960s. The table / chart now reflects the first ten reels.
