Most Successful Songs --> Discography
editThis section of the article is rather subjective at the moment. Most successful by what standards? Who says so? List some figures for record sales, or how well these songs charted, or what Rolling Stone or some published critic had to say. Right now it just looks like an anonymous fan listed his/her favorites ... not very encyclopedic. 66.17.118.207 14:25, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- I agree completely -- it's nothing but an unsubstantiated list, and every one of the listed songs appears in the earlier text. Unless someone comes up with a compelling reason for keeping that section, I plan to delete it. Engineer Bob 23:54, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- As of tonight, "Most Successful Songs" has been replaced by a Discography section. Engineer Bob 07:53, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
A-Sides vs. B-sides in discography
editThe discography does not require the non-charting, non-essential B-sides. Other artist discographies don't list the B-sides, such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dion_DiMucci and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Cooke_discography
The revised listing is easier to read. Plus, the Grass Roots aren't considered a seminal artist like Elvis or the Beatles.
If you want the B-sides included, add them yourself to the better formatted version.
I'm therefore planning to revert the edit back to the chart listing a previous editor posted. --Don1962 (talk) 02:47, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Rock music
editThe grass Roots recorded Rock/Psychedelic Pop singles in late 1960s like Midnight Confessions and I'd wait a million years. So i added genre "Rock."

Former members
editBefore anyone adds any "new" Past Members, I'd like to suggest that it might just be easier to list the people who have NOT performed with the Grass Roots in the past. That is one very long list! Hard to believe all these people have legitimately been part of this band. Did anyone ever verify that this list is accurate? Wow. 98.194.39.86 (talk) 18:25, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
The Grass Roots first hit single had multiple versions and "a very odd and confusing history" according to Songfacts, so probably deserves its own separate article to clarify. Assambrew (talk) 18:12, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
