How do I go about making this content verifiable and attributable? Do I need to link it to an official IFC page? To TV Guide? Or another source? I am trying to create a page that contains the basic production information about the show to make it accessible to the public. Thanks in advance for any guidance and assistance, I would like to do this properly. Gillico (talk) 00:51, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

The guidelines for citing sources can be found at Wikipedia:Citing sources. Secondary sources are preferred whenver possible, but primary sources are acceptable in some circumstances. Inline citations are the preferred way to reference supporting material. General information about article structure, style, and so on can be found at Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Let me know if you have any questions! Feezo (Talk) 02:56, 1 February 2011 (UTC) — edited 02:59, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have added an external link to IMDB and neutralized the language... I hope I am moving in the right direction? Do I need to make further changes? Gillico (talk) 23:37, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that's an improvement — I've removed the "written like an advertisement" tag. External links aren't the same thing as actual references though. Articles should have references that support the main statements of the article (since its content is submitted by users, IMDb isn't a reliable source, although it's fine as an external link). The tone of the article could be polished a little, too — you might want to take a look at some of these featured articles, which are Wikipedia's best examples of how to write about media topics. Good luck, and let me know if you have more questions. Feezo (Talk) 00:52, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
