This article should be renamed to The Grudge (film series) to bring it inline with the naming convention pertaining to film series. Let's discuss. - LA @ 10:33, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Survey
editPlease state whether or not you support the renaming of this article.
- Support - Given that a third film was only recently announced, and this series is more of a franchise, I'd say call it "film series". Especially given that we cannot be sure a third film will get made. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 13:52, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Thegrudge2image2.jpg
editImage:Thegrudge2image2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Vague
edit"A year later Takashi Shimizu directed The Grudge, an American remake. It is noted that it is based on theatrical version of Ju-on, but it contains scenes re-enacted from all of the Ju-on movies"
I think it should be blatently stated that entire characters from the original are replaced with a single cop character, and this character is given scenes that don't exist in the original. -NeF (talk) 10:13, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
The Grudge 4 (2018) ???
editDear Wikipedia community,
I think the section about a TBA fourth installment of the American reboot must be just a joke. How is it that it has been planned SEVEN years in advance????!!!! If it is true, which I doubt, someone must provide a reliable source or that section should be removed. A wikilink leads to The Grudge (film_series). There, the supposed release date is 2012 which is much more plausible. So, I will change the date here to mirror that. Anyways, if someone knows for sure it is incorrect please do the necessary changes.

SPOILERS?
edit2004 The Grudge (American version) This was largely a remake of Ju-on: The Grudge, following the story of Karen Davis (Sarah Michelle Gellar), a social worker assigned to take care of Emma Williams. The movie varies slightly from the original, because Karen burns the house and survives the curse. However, the house is saved.
This is a huge spoiler! I had not seen this one yet, but now the ending has been completely ruined for me. Take it out please! — Preceding unsigned comment added by98.244.77.26 (talk) 17:48, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
The Grudge 3
editI'm surprised there isn't a single reference to the third English movie. I rented it at some point, but the only information I can find on it online is a plot blurb. Can anyone track down more to get a page started? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.19.67.32 (talk) 18:20, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
The third American movie has its own page and it it thoroughly discussed on the American franchise's article. There are plenty of information about the movie online as well, so what are you saying... ? --DesignDeath (talk) 16:45, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
Deprod
editI've deprodded this since there is some value to having an article that focuses specifically on the English series. The Japanese article does mention the American series, but it's sort of an aside mention. I think that there's definite merit to having this content on its own so it doesn't bog down the main article. At the very least this should have an AfD discussion.
