• It summarizes the article well, I like it.

Background and release

• The source used after ""The Hanging Tree" is composed in the key of A minor with a "moderately, somewhat freely" tempo of 88 beats per minute. Lawrence's vocals span a range of E3 to A5 and its chord progression follows a basic sequence of A5–Am–Asus–F/A." doesn't really back up this statement. Please use another one, maybe from Musicnotes.com.
• Just a small thing, but remove the space between to semi colon and the source at ""The Hanging Tree" was released as part of the film's score soundtrack on 24 November 2014;  it is accompanied..."

Composition and use in book

• Also great, but add a source at the end of " Peeta Mellark, Katniss's love interest, associates "The Hanging Tree" with her father; he heard him sing the song once when he traded goods at his parent's bakery." or re-use one.

Reception and promotion

• Great, but clarify when Newton Howard was in tears. Use a second source if necessary.
• I don't think you need to wikilink Newton Howard a second time.

@MikeOwen: I took care of all your suggestions but I am confused on the bit about the source used for the song's arrangements. You mention that it does not back up the previous statement. How so? If you are referring to the arrangement itself, the source I used was actually from Musicnotes.com. Just want a clarification on that part. Thank you for reviewing this article!
