Split out of main Sin City article

edit

With All The Sin City yarns being in one page it got a bit crowded so I decided to make a Hard Goodbye summary. More To Come When I Have The Time.

Next: A Dame To Kill For

IF YOU HAVE MORE FACTS, TRIVIA etc. PLEASE ADD ON XD —Preceding unsigned comment added by Boggon (talkcontribs) 18:31, 21 July 2006

I have to Agree. The Grammer on this article is terrible.
Someone should clean this up a lot. Guest —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.188.133.237 (talkcontribs) 22:36, 16 August 2007
Weeping, creeping JESUS this is a terrible article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.40.129.167 (talk) 13:55, 7 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I agree. It's all in a confusing present tense as if someone was reading the comics to wikipedia via phone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.6.150.20 (talk) 03:51, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article needs a better form of organization. It is too long and words could be removed to improve the structure. There is entirely too many useless facts in the article where it could be shortened and more informational. The article misses important facts and instead highlights information that could be taken out. The writing also needs improvement overall. I removed the sentences from each of the episodes that stated how many pages were in each episode. I did this because it was unnecessary information that was just making the article longer. I also added some notes about the movie, as it didn’t say anything about how it was adapted from multiple Sin City volumes. It was left unclear.--Kellyvolland (talk) 16:14, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I added a section regarding women in the text. I thought it was a relevant theme in the book and should be included in the article. I plan to add information once I am done collecting research. --Kellyvolland (talk) 01:31, 5 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

There wasn't as much information on the representation of women in comics as I had anticipated. However, I did find an interesting article where it specified that Indian comics have misrepresentations of women as well. I included it on the page as it is an interesting article that backs up the fact that women are highly sexualized in all countries and their comics. I also edited the summary by moving around some sentences and correcting grammar issues. Kellyvolland (talk) 17:42, 19 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I continued to edit the summary by moving some things around and adding a few words to help it make sense. Kellyvolland (talk) 23:53, 2 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

This seems more like Sparknotes than a Wikipedia article. Klkovalovich (talk) 18:55, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

There is little more than anything past a summary in this article. i changed some of the terrible grammar in episode 5 to make it flow better and i added some small details.Brentar87 (talk) 20:25, 29 October 2015 (UTC)brentar87Reply

I think one of the main problems with this article, as stated in the above comments, is the various grammatical errors and lack of cohesive thought presented in the summaries. Aside from summary revisions, I feel that we should also include an analysis of text as well as how the story related to he author's life, the utilized genre, etc. In line with this course, we could also include a section that elaborates on the theme of revenge, specifically on how it's presented in "The Hard Goodbye". I changed the summary completely and made it easier to follow. The old summary was not in the wikipedia genre and along with having multiple grammatical errors the summary read more like a spark notes page. I shorten the summary immensely and only included the main points instead of doing a summary on each chapter. Klkovalovich (talk) 02:13, 5 November 2015 (UTC)KlkovalovichReply

I added a sentence about the film adaption not being only about the hard goodbyeBrentar87 (talk) 03:11, 5 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I was able to add further information regarding the cinematic adaptation of the book, including the directors and their artistic styles. Fairclothr (talk) 03:25, 13 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
