Adding the genre "glam metal" to this album
editHi,
Just wondering if it is ok to add the genre "glam metal" to this album. Explicitly stated as such in the following reference: [1]https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/53253/W.A.S.P.-The-Headless-Children/
"There are a few missteps, but the overall quality of the album makes this the best work W.A.S.P. has done (beating out the occasionally overwrought and inconsistent The Crimson Idol) and one of the better "hair metal" albums from the 80s"

- Found a better source here: [2]https://www.metalsucks.net/2015/10/16/friday-5-what-5-more-hair-metal-albums-are-essential/ AgentKozak (talk) 17:56, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
- That section seems to be a debate on whether it is hair metal, and they don't even conclude anything. Really, the first three albums would totally warrant the genre, but not this one. Surely you're aware of how serious in tone this album sounds? There's no "party vibe" about it. It's just straight-ahead heavy metal. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 18:03, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
- Well, If an editor feels it has sufficient grounds to be not added, I won't add it. My feelings on it are that this genre can indeed stretch beyond "party vibes" especially towards the end of its commercial appeal, there are many such albums like this that I could cite. In fact, I am of the opinion that the "pop metal" genre should be split into two, the fun glammy albums, and the dirty hair metal scene that started in the late 80's, but I digress.
