I've got to agree with the previous nominator, The Hundred Parishes is a project initiated by a local historian (while this Wikipedia article is authored by the secretary of The Hundred Parishes Society). It isn't a established or historically defined area of England. I fail to understand how several editors claimed the project met WP:GNG - there's only a local newspaper article about the setting up of the associated Society. As such, 85% of this article is a travelogue about parts of Hertfordshire and Essex, very essay-like and highly questionable. Sionk (talk) 14:37, 16 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
As can be seen, I withdrew my re-nomination for deletion, because I hadn't known in advance it had already been through an AfD. Sionk (talk) 14:59, 19 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the excessive travelogue and hence the 'essay-like' clean-up template. Considering this is an invented area, with only coverage in a local newspaper, this is completely different from long-established geographical features. None of the sources I've removed made any mention of The Hundred Parishes and they were simply being used to give the impression The Hundred Parishes was ancient and widely defined. If The Hundred Parishes Society want to promote their area they should do so on their own website. Sionk (talk) 12:18, 4 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
