editThis page duplicates [1]. They are about the same speech which was delivered in Corinthian Hall, Rochester New York, on July 5 1852. This page should be merged.
- I agree. Note that this page states, incorrectly, that the speech took place on July 4. It actually happened on the 5th. There seems to be quite a bit of differences between these two articles; not so much as to statements of fact, but, rather, different emphases (the speech is so important and so full of subtle references that I would not be surprised if there are Ph.D. dissertations on it). Therefore, I think a careful merging of the two articles is called for; I propose that the title "What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?" be kept. Paulmlieberman (talk) 22:28, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
