Anbo-Jitsu

edit

Any reason for the alternate spelling "jytsu"? It's not good romanization, and it doesn't suggest an alternate pronounciation Hackwrench 22:01, 5 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

For that matter, it should probably be "jutsu," which is the more commonly accepted romanization amongst Japanese Koryu organizations. Stanley Lieber 06:44, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The script (http://www.twiztv.com/scripts/nextgeneration/season2/tng-214.txt) spells it anbo-jyutsu. Since it's fictional, we should go with the script instead of how it "should" be spelled. I'm not changing it though, since I don't know if that is the original script. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.55.217.41 (talk) 19:32, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Adding random letters helps nothing. It's Jitsu, you can clearly hear them saying it. It is a mispronunciation of Jutsu, but that's how we say it in English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.54.78.138 (talk) 14:33, 17 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

These letters are not random. Jyutsu uses Wāpuro rōmaji, which is commonly used with QWERTY keyboards to write out kana. All the references I can find for the script have it written as Jyutsu. One could argue the semantics of whether it should be written Jyutsu or Jutsu (personally I prefer the latter Hepburn romanization), but Jitsu has a different meaning (truth/reality) that makes less sense.
Because of this, I've edited the article to reflect and explain any discrepancies owing to the mispronunciation. 2601:283:8481:2420:8DF5:FD54:EC80:D65D (talk) 11:23, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Anbo-jitsu.jpg

edit

Image:Anbo-jitsu.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
