Vandalism

edit

Series 3, episode 1, viewing figures has been changed. Possibly needs reverting back. 94.192.224.247 (talk) 13:33, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Principle vs Principal

edit

"Principal" refers to the first or highest in rank; the most important, while "principle" refers to an accepted moral rule. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.240.81.209 (talk) 15:38, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I suggest that I read Principle and Principal. In the mean time I'm chaging it to Main Cast to adhere with other articles. Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 15:42, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

15 vs 18

edit

The current reference for its age rating is from the BBFC's website and says that it is 15, however other sources with pictues of the DVD cover show it as 18. I suggest we wait for the DVD's release before we are absolutely sure on this. Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 15:45, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree, although I think the BBFC source is far more likely to be accurate Davidjb1988 (talk) 10:51, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Has anyone here seen the DVD for sale in a shop or owns the DVD? Any feedback would be much appreciated. bsrboy (talk) 12:40, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have the DVD and it has an 18 certificate 77.99.186.110 (talk) 23:41, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much! bsrboy (talk) 23:59, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sometimes the DVD and shows on TV are different ratings, off the top of my head for example the film 2fast 2furious was only a 12 in the cinema, but the dvd is a 15 due to the added content. ---Matt 19:10, 10 April 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acidulantes (talkcontribs)

I work for a poster company and we had to stop the presses on this project because the certificate changed from 15 to 18 at the last minute. Apparently episode 6 crossed into 18 territory, and the artwork for the cover of the DVD was completed before the episode was broadcast. Louisdonowa (talk) 14:55, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I own season 1 and 2 in a box set. Says 18.81.23.50.232 (talk) 23:44, 19 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The first season is an 18 all together. I don't know what the indervidual episodes are rated but in series 2 only episode 4 is rated 18. The last two episodes of Series 3 have been rated and have been rated "15". I don't know about the other episodes yet. On Amazon and Play and whatever else the picture of the Series 3 boxset has an 18 on it. The series will most likely turn out to be an 18 all together because the BBFC might not have updated all of the episodes rated yet. A simular thing happened with 2008's Dead Set, the DVD was released an 18 but the BBFC didn't release any information or consumer advice why. - Charlr6, 16 September 2010, 19:22 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlr6 (talkcontribs) 18:22, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Character merge

edit

I don't see why the four main characters warrant an article outside of this one. They're stubs as they are, and no sources have been provided that are independent of the television show (that is, why they're notable enough to have an article). None of the articles pass the three-pronged test at WP:FICT, and I can't see why character descriptions can't be included here, or at a List of The Inbetweeners characters at a push. Cycle~ (talk) 23:51, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think as long the seasons keep coming and the show continues, more will be learned about these characters and as such could warrant an article of their own in the future. I recommend keeping it for now and see how this season coming up goes. If the articles can be expanded then keep them in. Davidbhoy2805 (talk) 22:26, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's more the case that independent coverage is required, not what we find out. I expect a fair bit of traffic to the pages over the next couple of days (what with the new episode) so hopefully we can gauge stuff soon. Cycle~ (talk) 23:06, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'd support a merge to List of The Inbetweeners characters. DWaterson (talk) 22:00, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
I will create a List of The Inbetweeners characters article then. Yatesy1988 (talk) 21:25, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
I agree that more will be learned about the characters in Season 2, however there is not enough currently to support individual articles. A List of The Inbetweeners characters for the moment will suffice until the time comes for individual articles. Kegarmstrong (talk) 03:31, April 2009 (GMT)
I think these main characters should be described in this article (at least until there is enough content to warrant individual articles). The List of The Inbetweeners characters article should be used to describe other minor characters. Tom H (talk) 13:07, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Surley the writers should be mentioned in the introduction. Theyre referred to as 'Beesley' and 'Morris' as if they've already been mentioned.86.42.82.72 (talk) 21:47, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

  Fixed Cycle~ (talk) 21:57, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone want to have a go at fixing up Simon's section in the main Inbetweeners's article. It could use quite a bit of revision to get it up to "Wiki" standards of neutrality and non-fanboy-ish tone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.38.56.62 (talk) 04:45, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Consdering the individual popularity of the four, and now that much more is now, should it possibly be considered to recreate their own pages again--92.237.88.53 (talk) 01:12, 1 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Setting

edit

There's no citation for the 'show is set in North-West London' RE: Show scenarios include talking about Bluewater, Thorpe Park and Camber Sands, all predominantly South London and the south attractions. 00:37, 4 April 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.21.79 (talk)

The show is filmed in NW London, so I don't know if a mistake came about that way. I don't know where it's meant to be set though – I'll see if there's a mention in any of the series 1 commentaries. Cycle~ (talk) 02:39, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

They do say in one episode they're going "up to London", which possibly implies they're south of London, as opposed to "Down to London" if they were in the north. --Richy (talk) 00:18, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have tagged the Location section with [original research?] and [improper synthesis?] tags. Whilst we can record what was said in the episodes and note locations nearby, it's WP:Original Research to then suggest which town in might be set in. It's also inappropriate to note the location of the PizzaExpress (does that need a wikilink?!) without a source, otherwise that's WP:Unverifiable and WP:OR. Please could editors keen to keep this information find sources to support it? Thanks, Bigger digger (talk) 15:18, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Also, if the show is really set in suburban London, why would they be driving up to London instead of taking the train? -86.166.121.63 (talk) 19:52, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
It should be remembered that it is an old convention that one goes "up to London" regardless of the actuall compass direction that involves. One reflection of this is that all railways lines heading into London are designated "up line". Nick Cooper (talk) 14:38, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've added a bit of info about one scene in series 1, epidode 4, where the lads are seen sitting by a road on which signs for "Edinburgh Drive" and "Cardiff Way" are visible. AliasMe (talk) 08:42, 23 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry AliasMe, I've had to revert that. We can perhaps observe the visible signs but to draw conclusions about the location then leads us into WP:Original research. This is why the other paragraphs in the section are so dubious. Is there not an interview out there where someone mentions where it's filmed, does anyone have the DVD - there must be a commentary on there with some info? Bigger digger (talk) 09:58, 23 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that, I didn't realise I was contravening the guidelines. Thanks for letting me know, and for updating the page. AliasMe (talk) 02:36, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

The roads mentioned above are in Abbots Langley WD5 i.e. Watford area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.152.254.72 (talk) 04:48, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry if I have not entered this correctly, I have never contributed to a discussion before. In one episode Jay says he took Woking from the Conference to the Champions League and in another episode they mention the A320 road as being local, the A320 runs through Woking. Woking is a town just south west of the metropolitan London border in Surrey. It is also close to Thorpe Park, the amusement park with the roller coaster, and where Neil works before he has access to a car. From Woking saying you were going 'up to London' would be perfectly correct. 92.30.29.241 (talk) 20:41, 20 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Third series?

edit

Are there plans for a third series? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.246.132.26 (talk) 16:47, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I hope so!! The boys are still in year 12 at the end of series 2 so at least another two series to cover year 13 and then maybe another two to cover what they do next.

series three announced —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.162.195.211 (talk) 10:37, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Series three anounced both on digitalspy and in the Sun today. 212.140.250.54 (talk) 14:43, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Series Three had its first day of filming in Dartford, Kent - added to article 81.109.175.173 (talk) 18:31, 5 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

The series was announced and has been confirmed to be shooting, but none of the other information, including the end of shooting and air dates, has been confirmed in the cited articles or anywhere else I can find, so I'm going to remove the 'September' air date. 78.250.125.86 (talk) 08:27, 8 June 2010 (UTC) what about a fourth series? 94.15.146.177 (talk) 17:16, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

As everyone knows now Series 4 won't happen, but there will possibly be specials--92.237.88.53 (talk) 01:14, 1 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Now that we're in 2012 Series 4 has been confirmed afaik, with Season 5 most likely happening too. Will see if I can get proof some day. (Or as I call it probably never) Tez011 (talk) 16:13, 23 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Inbetweeners Rude Road Trip E4 Repeats

edit

E4 have been screening this in a 30min slot this week, should there be some mention of this out of comic relief reshowing here??81.111.126.82 (talk) 14:18, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

opening paragraph revision

edit

the introductory paragraph focuses too strongly on its "very adolescent nature" which makes it sound condescending. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.59.21.186 (talk) 03:44, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Still present, but on hiatus?

edit

Yes, that's what the info box writes about the series. Would anyone happen to have a source on this? I know there has been a bit talk on making a sequel to the movie (though I do not know how serious they are/were about that), but for all I know the TV series itself has definitely ended. Can anyone prove me wrong, or can I edit this (supposed) "mistake"?

87.48.10.225 (talk) 21:58, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes, they made a sequel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.12.223.229 (talk) 20:38, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Carli vs Carly

edit

It's spelled Carly and Carli throughout the series. We can see a 'Carly' when Simon draws a heart on her driveway and also a 'Carli' on the mix CD Simon gives her. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.102.253.130 (talk) 22:00, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
